Inspiration

The rabbit headdress was the first ever Animalesque creation, initially made from cardboard for an Alice in Wonderland fancy dress party 10 years ago. Since then, rabbit has evolved and been re-created in many different styles and colours.

Description

Charcoal print on a blue brushed cotton, adorned with party gold tassels and red pom poms and lined with bright red & white striped cotton. Finished with bright red satin ribbons to tie around the head.

This is a one-off piece!

Materials and Techniques

Illustrated, hand printed and handmade in my waterside studio in Cornwall, working from an archive of textiles mindfully sourced from India, and surplus from theatre costume and fashion wardrobes.

Due to the handmade nature of Animalesque headdresses, allowances must be made for slight discrepancies between each piece.

Size

This headdress is made in one size with adjustable ribbons to fit all head shapes and sizes.

Measurements: 38cm by 15 cm. Ribbon length 50cm.
